for all the ppl wanting pics they are on their way! Internets been expensive and slow so much more tricky and long emails will be replied to as soon as we find an internet cafe cheaper than 2bahts per min but do keep them coming as are great to read!!! :D
So surprisingly enough we’re still having a fantastic time!!! Seriously sunny today whooooooo!!! Anyway will start from where we left off at Koh Samui…… try to write it bit more logically!
sat 31st
Had the amazing time on the beach which was seriously appreciated… (have video will try find some way to post them as we’ve got some pretty good ones now!) made the most of soaking up the warmth and chilling out. went to a really nice restaurant on the beach….. james heard spurs loose in the background! all covered in fairy lights, all good!! Sat in a big chair on the beach like beckys orange one from ikea that folds over to make an egg! James ate shark! Quite yum actually a bnit meaty – it didnt taste like chicken or fish! Then went to find internet and saw main road soo bad!! Bars and the closest thing I can compare it to is what I imagine magalouf to be lol

Checked out of our little bungalow! Asked about boat to Koh Pagn Nagn to find the first free one was at 4pm so looked like we’d have to spend the day on the beach til then, what a shame!! Had a good brunch at Ark bar, James taught me to float! Had a great time, PERFECT weather :D, spend most time in the sea and dragged ourselves out to get the bus at 3 to the port. Bus was packed fill of ppl on the way to the full moon party. Boat was nice in the sun, not too choppy! No taxi boat to collect us at the other end however and so I argued with the taxi driver over the price. I was having none of it. Neither was he. Agreed on a compromise seconds before the last taxi left!! Roads reallllly basic dirt ruds with huge crevasses all along, SUPER bumpy! Arrived at Star Hut which was lovely and we got a bungalow one off the beach, we could see the sea and sand from our little porch, it was beautiful absolutely idyllic.. Went straight into the sea and stayed in it til dark (have another really nice 360 video!) Then went back and ate next door – Baan Puriobi viallge, the place where chez stayed, ;looked really nice, technically the same and right next door but everything just a lot better maintained and a nicer eating area (was more protective when it came to the later storms!) We then sat on the beach until midnight with a bottle of samsong and sprite had ltos of fun and played with sparklers! Was a very good night.
Mon 2nd
Weather was cloudy – but sat on beach anyway!! James somehow still managed to burn through it haha I was cold! Ate breakfast (pineapple pancake YUM), lunch and dinner at star hut that day! Got bitten by a stray dog lol but didnt scratch the surface so that was good! Had a little bit of a nap, drunk some samsong and got in the back of a pick up truck that took us to the full moon party!! Impressively was less bumpy than the minibus so initial apprehension soon wore off! Truck dropped us off, we bought our wristbands and joined the crowds!! I’ll leave the pictures to tell the rest lol but was a really good night were both splattered in glow paint and both have patches that have yet to come out! Got a good old bucket… (pink of course!) beach was amazing, loads of music, packed, dancing, fire shows, back row lined with little stalls selling more buckets and before we knew it it was time to head back! James couldnt resist getting some dodgey chicken on route! Thankfully not dodgy dodgy! Hopped in Baan purobis mini bus as we couldnt find our pcik up truck, everyone was very quiet and sensible didnt seem too impressed with us all excited and covered in paint!
Tues 3rd
Woke up sometime around midday and left the hut sometime after 2! Good lay in! GALE force winds blowing outside, went on internet brieftly (expensive!!) and booked ticket that would take us all the way to Phi Phi. Koh Pagn Nan has its own rainy season and basically November is it and its monsoon non stop for a month! Chilled out in room for a bit then James needed to do something more productive and so we jumped the pre storm waves!! Think beach of dream kind of waves. I got drowned by one! Seriously big and strong. Was cold out the water so novelty eventually wore off of nearly drowning on big waves! Was soo so warm though and had TONS of fun!! You wouldnt believe how many times already I’ve appreciated the waves from Bantham and learning how to walk in the Lakes!
Ate at Baan Purobi place and the rain started….. the wind was blowing gales, storm had properly started… the sea was being thrown against the restaurant, worries started for the next days long travels! Made it back to our room and got SOAKED in seconds! Early night as up at 5.30AM!
Weds 4th….
Had to get up at 5.30 as taxi to thong sala was at 6. Boat to sounds like ‘sarat fanny’ @7. We got off here and get the bus to Karabi, then the boat to Koh Phi Phi. Neither of us slept that well due to the storm, I spent the whole night imagining our jeep overtunning on muddy roads in the thunderstorms! Was really worried about traveling in such bad weather. Thunder in the night seemed to shake through the ground, soooooo much wind and rain and thunder!! We wanted to go to Koh Toa after but the weather is simular there so has to be crossed off :( Taxi arrived and was a proper 4×4 and all was fine! Excellent driver! Queued in rain for port. Queued to get on boat in rain and bags are left in a heap outside at the back of the boat. Glad we had rain covers for them! Came out pretty dry! Only seats left weere A/C 40bahts each, but had films on, the surrogate, so could concentrate on that not the sea! Def could of been worse! Got off the boat and stood in more rain and waiting for them to throw our bags off! Then queued in rain to get on bus. I managed to sleep the whole way which I was very happy about! Stopped off got some rice in a polystyrene box! then got to port where sat downstairs (saw super cute kittens!) and slept most the journey again! Got off the boat and no rain!!!! It was grey but still looked amazing…….
ps – gem yes the tans lines started today!!! tho mine aren’t quite as bad as james hehe
